There always seems to be some moments when our senior staff tester, L needs to get her hands on…something. She “needs busy hands, Mommy!” Apparently there’s a surplus and rise on boredom, aside from the running, jumping, screeching, loud laughter in our main facility (AKA “the house”), boredom still exists.
To get rid of this epidemic, I looked for an easy DIY “kid activity” on Pinterest. I found flubber, slime, gak (not sure why it’s called that), as well as cosmic recipes for amazing bouncy balls and slime. To my relief, I saw a pin on moon sand, which called for cornstarch, etc, etc, baby oil, and flour.
Well…I only had flour and oil. Thus the “2 Ingredient Moon Sand” recipe was born. And might I add edible? Of course…unless it has fallen on the floor, which I wouldn’t recommend anyone eat it after then. Eherm…pica.
So, have at it!
- Bowl or large container
- Measuring cup
- Your hands
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 cups flour
Mix flour and oil into container until the flour feels course but soft.
AAAAAAAAND…YOU’RE DONE! ENJOY!
